I've used a few of the editors mentioned here, like Shotcut and Kdenlive, and they’re solid options, though not always the most intuitive. Shotcut, for instance, has a learning curve but offers great features once you get used to it. I also tried Blender's video editing features, and while it works, it's overkill unless you already use Blender for 3D work.
